Ruth is pictured in his followthrough swing as he grounds out to second base in the top of the first inning. This photo originates from a large collection of original 1926 World Series photos offered elsewhere in this auction. The original "International Newsreel Paper" news caption, dated "10-6-26" remains affixed to the reverse. The photo (8x10") displays a few light creases, a tiny edge tear along the top, and minor rippling. Very Good condition. PSA encapsulated as Type I authentic.
