Signed, game used ball from the historic 500th career save of New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. Official Major League (Selig) ball, shows light use, primarily from being rubbed up for game use. Stampings remain clear, and The Sandman has signed in 7/10 blue ballpoint ink along with the inscription "500th Save 6/28/09" just below the 2009 Inaugural Season stamp for the new Yankee Stadium. In addition to racking up 44 saves, Mo led the Pinstripes to that season's AL Pennant as well as the franchise's 27th World Series title - the last time to date that the Bronx Bombers accomplished both feats. A testament to his greatness, Rivera remains the only player in history to be unanimously voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
