Original Type I photograph capturing Ted Williams signing his Boston Red Sox contract. Williams is pictured seated at the desk as Red Sox general manager Joe Cronin and Red Sox manager Pinky Higgins look on. Although no year is listed, Cronin was general manager of the Red Sox from 1947 to 1959, While Higgins managed the Red Sox from 1954 to 1962. As such, this photo must date sometime within the six-year span 1954-1959. Two Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a few handwritten notations and a tiny white label.
