Original Type I photograph capturing Jackie Robinson and other participants during one of his annual postseason barnstorming games, circa 1953. Jackie Robinson barnstorming photographs are exceedingly rare. This is the first we have ever offered and we cannot recall the last time we have seen another. All the players are pictured posing in front of the dugout, including members of Robinson's team and the opposing team. In addition to Robinson, we can identify Brooklyn Dodgers players Gil Hodges and Ralph Branca, as well as Luke Easter of the Cleveland Indians. Also pictured are three members of the Indianapolis Clowns (Negro League team). No markings on the reverse. The photo (10x8") displays a few light creases and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
