Rare championship ring from the World Hockey Association's Houston Aeros dating from the 1973-74 season. Plain by today's standards, the size 13 ring has a triangular bezel with one word of World Hockey Association on each side with a genuine diamond between each (total of three diamonds). Aeros logo is in the middle of the triangle, left shank is engraved "Champions" above a relief of the Avco World Trophy - awarded to the league champs - and the right is engraved "FINGER" above the year 74 and a relief of a hockey player, inside band is engraved RF. Since there were no players on the roster by that name, we assume this originated from a staff member. The '73-74 season marked the Aeros debut of icon Gordie Howe, along with his sons Mark and Marty, with Gordie recording over 100 points and winning league MVP honors despite being in his 40s at the time.
