2000 Bowman Gold #236 Tom Brady Rookie is one of the most highly coveted cards in the rookie catalog of football's undeniable Greatest of All Time. Several factors move this specimen into elite territory, starting with its Beckett's NM+ 7.5 overall grade, which includes sub-grades of: Centering 8.5, Corners 7, Edges 8, Surface 9.5. Only the corners grade stands in the way of a higher overall, with subs averaging in excess of 8.0 and an exceptional look all around. Add in the iconic Bowman/Topps brand name, the popularity of the Chrome releases in general, and the fact that this Gold premium insert is incredibly rare, numbered 93/99, and this card moves to or near the front of any high-end collection. For reference, between BGS and PSA, there are over 17,000 Bowman & Bowman Chrome Tom Brady graded rookies, however only 99 of this gold version was produced, extremely limited for Tom Brady in Pats uniform rookies. To top it off, only three, in any grade, have sold in 2022, meaning most of these have already found their way into collections and will become harder to find on the open market in the years to come.
