Artistic goalie mask dating from the 2003-04 season belonging to Washington Capitals' netminder Sebastian Charpentier. Bauer mask is complete with chin strap, velcro sweatband, and all hardware in place as it displays little, if any, use. Spectacular eagle design is across the forehead with "Caps" across the chin in gold on a white and blue background; backplate has his name in the same style lettering. Mold was made by The Pro's Choice and it is signed by the creator, Dom Malerba inside; also signed inside by Ron Slater who did the graphics for this work of art. Charpentier was a fill-in and back up for the Capitals in his only NHL seasons, from 2001-02 thru 2003-04. He appeared in just seven games during his final season and only 26 total games behind workhorse starter Olaf Kolzig. Charpentier used a couple of different mask styles during his short stay and we are unable to verify that this style was used in game, so it was likely meant as a backup, and stands in NM-MT condition with original Bauer mask bag included. Awesome display item.
