** SOLD PRIVATELY **
Spectacular circa 1973-75 game used bat from Thurman Munson, graded a perfect PSA GU 10. Hillerich & Bradsby model S44 measures 35.0 inches in length while weighing 31.2 ounces, is uncracked and shows tremendous use with slight checking on the back barrel. Ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, bat rack paint transfers, and a heavy layer of pine tar gives this bat an amazing appearance. Munson's number 15 is written on the knob in red marker and PSA has given this its highest grade. Munson was entering his prime during the '73-75 period, during which he earned all of his Gold Glove awards and the first three of six consecutive All-Star Game appearances. Superlative game used artifact from the man whose untimely death in a plane crash remains one of the most poignant episodes in Yankees history.
