Believed to have hung in Billy Taub's famous clothiers on Broadway in New York City, this circa-1930s gigantic photographic print includes no less than 75 individuals, most of whom are identified in print at the bottom of the image. Featured are Nat Fleischer, Bill Corum, Westbrook Pegler (many great sports writers), Walter Camp, and Jack Dempsey. Taub himself is pictured here, identified along the base as "Clothier to the Sporting Men." Taub's own business card boasted his status as "Tailor to the Royalty of Sportsdom," and he counted the biggest stars of the era as regular customers. The photographic print (39x22") displays a few moderate scratches and abrasions, as well as a tack hole and a small area of staining along the left border. In apparent Very Good condition overall. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 51x34". Please note: the size and/or weight of this lot will
necessitate an increased shipping charge.
