Dennis Byrd game worn New York Jets jersey from the 1992 season, which was to tragically be his last in the NFL. White jersey has Byrd's number 90 on chest, shoulders, and back; name is on a plate above the rear number, all screen painted in green-on-black. Champion size 44 tag and Jets 1992 exclusive tag on tail, nice use is shown with paint transfers, abrasions and pilling under arms, a few holes, and scuffs to numbers. The talented defensive end was injured in November of 1992 in a freak incident, colliding with a teammate while attempting a sack, leaving him paralyzed. Though rigorous rehabilitation and tremendous perseverance, Byrd did manage to walk again and his number 90 - which was never worn again - has since been retired by the Jets. Sadly, Byrd passed in 2016 as the result of an auto accident.
