1998 Mark McGwire signed St. Louis Cardinals batting practice style jersey has all sewn on lettering and numbering and Majestic tail tag. Cardinals birds-on-bat logo is stitched across the chest and a special 70 Home Run patch is on the left sleeve. Big Mac signed on the back number in 8/10 black Sharpie with the added notation in McGwire's hand of "583 HRS." Topping it all off, hand painted on the front of the jersey is a tremendously detailed portrait of McGwire - eyes affixed on another long ball - by Doug Brewer. In an epic chase to the wire, the St. Louis slugger bashed a then-record 70 home runs, beating out Sammy Sosa's mark of 66.
