Original Type I photo from the 1927 film "Babe Comes Home," starring Babe Ruth. The publicity photo captures Ruth in uniform on the field as he glares off camera. "Babe Comes Home" was released in May, 1927, and was Ruth's second feature film. The film itself has been lost, with no copies known. Today, all that remains are a few rare posters, heralds, and movie stills such as this. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with an affixed publicity caption and Ruth's name written in pencil. The photo (7.75x9.5") displays a heavy vertical crease that runs through Ruth's right arm and leg, as well as a few lighter creases. In Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
