1982 MLB All-Star Game ring issued to "Garcia," as noted by the engraving on the shank. No player or coach by the name of Garcia participated in the 1982 All-Star Game, so we can not state with certainty to whom this ring was presented (possibly a MLB or team executive, or someone else connected with the event). The 1982 mid summer classic was played at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada, and marked the first All-Star Game played outside the United States. The celestrium ring, produced by Balfour, features a red stone in the center, upon which rests a representation of a maple leaf with a small diamond mounted in its center. The lettering along the top and bottom of the bezel reads, respectively, "Partie" and "D'eToiles." (Party of Stars). One shank displays the engraved name "Garcia" and the Major League Baseball logo. The opposite shank features the year ("1982"), the 1982 All-Star Game logo, and the name of the host city ("Montreal"). "Balfour" and "Celestrium" are engraved on the interior band. Excellent to Mint condition overall. Size: approximately 11.25. Weight: 21 grams. Accompanied by a box that is not original to the piece.
