Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in blue ink by the following thirty-three members of the 1954 American League champion Cleveland Indians: Lopez (Mgr., sweet spot), Doby, Feller, Lemon, Wynn, Garcia (sweet spot), Rosen, Mossi, Houtteman (twice), Glynn (twice), Avila, Naragon, Smith, Lobe (coach), Strickland, Hooper, Philley, Grasso, Westlake, Cuccinello (coach), Harder (coach), Wertz, Majeski, Hegan, Dyck, Kress (coach), Mitchell, Pope, Hoskins, Regaldo, Narleski, Dente, and one other (illegible). The blue-ink notation "1954-Champs" is printed on the sweet spot. Signatures average 6/10. The ball has been coated with a very light layer of protective shellac and is otherwise in Near Mint condition. The Cleveland Indians won a then-record 111 games in 1954 and were one of only two teams not named the New York Yankees to win the American League pennant during the 1950s. Unfortunately, they were upset by the New York Giants in the 1954 World Series. This is an outstanding team-signed ball dating from the greatest regular season in Cleveland Indians history.
