Offered is a fascinating complete set 10/10 of 1950 All-Star Baseball "Pin-Ups". the pin-ups came in a book and the circular part of the cover has been cut out and included in the lot. Each of the thin cardstock circles was also cut out of the book, and each player's disk measures almost 7" in diameter. The back of each photo contains playing hints, usually for the position the All-Star plays. Since four outfielders are included, the DiMaggio disk gives hints on playing outfield. The other outfielder disks contain hints on hitting, base running, and on baseball signs. All-Stars in the set: Ted Williams, Red Sox outfield; Joe DiMaggio, Yankees outfield; Stan Musial, Cardinal outfield; Ralph Kiner, Pirates outfield; Jackie Robinson, Dodgers second base; Phil Rizzuto, Yankees shortstop; Gil Hodges, Dodgers first base; George Kell, Tigers third base; Jim Hegan, Indians catcher; and Mel Parnell, Red Sox pitcher. Each of the player disks has a small hole at the top to facilitate "pining up" the photo. The Jim Hegan photo has some small paper loss at the top. Overall, the set gives a nice All-Star collection with some detailed playing tips. The hand cut disk from the book cover is somewhat uneven, and the other cuts are reasonably close the suggested cut line indicated by a perforated appearing line.
