1909-1913 M101-2 Sporting News Supplement Joe Jackson. Graded FR 1.5 by PSA. This is the ONLY example of this particular card graded at this level with NONE graded higher. At first glance, and even second and third glance, this card appears to be in Near Mint condition, and it is easily the finest Joe Jackson M101-2 we have ever seen. The 1909-1913 Sporting News supplements were printed on extremely thin paper stock and nearly all surviving examples display a myriad of significant condition flaws, including creases, tears, and corner chips. To find one that presents as beautifully as this one does is nothing short of miraculous. The only flaws that we can discern are an extremely tiny crease in the upper right corner and the slightest bit of wear in the two lower corners, all of which are barely perceptible to the naked eye. Although this is not considered to be Joe Jackson's rookie card, it was issued during his first full season in the Major Leagues, with the publication date reading "March 23, 1911." Jackson is one of the keys to the M101-2 set and the offered example would be the highlight of any advanced M101-2 or Joe Jackson card collection.
