Although it looks and feels exactly like a Maris gamer, this uniform never touched the back of Roger Maris. It is a perfect replica New York Yankees home pinstripe, created for and worn by actor, Barry Pepper, who played Roger Maris in the filming of the hit movie, 61. Jersey with Yanks’ “NY” logo on left breast and Maris’ #9 on verso. No tagging, but “Maris 9” is written in black marker on an extra piece of fabric, which is sewn into the front right tail. Matching pants equipped with black leather belt, & navy stirrups. Included is a navy T-shirt, also part of the actor’s uniform. Cap is a size 7 ?, tagged with “American Needle since 1918”. This is the only existing pinstripe uniform from that movie, since there were only two homes, & two away uniforms for each actor. At the conclusion of filming, the actors were given one set for their own use, leaving this set as the only one available to the public! LOA.
