Displayed is one powerful baseball! The signatures on this Rawlings Official American League (Brown) baseball are all from members of baseball's 500 Club. Sharing the sweet spot are Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle. Because Williams was the last man to hit over .400 and he had a lifetime batting average of .344, we can forget just how much of a home run hitter he was as well. Despite missing over four full seasons of play because of service in the U.S. Marines in both World War II and in the Korean Conflict, Williams amassed 521 home runs. Mantle, with 536 home runs, is the greatest homer hitting switch-hitter of all time. Also signing is Hank Aaron, who hit 755 home runs and is "The People's Home Run Champ," because none of his home runs was tainted by the steroid era. Willie Mays was once thought to be a serious threat to Babe Ruth's then lifetime mark of 714 home runs but playing in wind-swept Candlestick Park for much of his career was difficult for his right-handed swing, and Mays finished with 660. Also signing: Eddie Mathews (512); Harmon Killebrew (573); Ernie Banks (512); Frank Robinson (586); Willie McCovey (521); Mike Schmidt (548); and Reggie Jackson (563). The ball appears MINT, while the signatures average 8/10. Is this a powerfully valuable ball? The 500 Club signatures on this one ball represent the power of 6,287 home runs. PSA LOA.
