Original Type I publicity photograph featuring two of the greatest sex symbols of the Silver Screen: Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell. The pair are pictured posing together in promotion of the the 1953 20th Century Fox release Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The film, which helped launch Monroe's career, was a huge hit with theater goers and finished as the eighth highest grossing film of the year. Interestingly, Russell was the bigger star at the time, earning $200,000 for her role, while Monroe was paid her standard $500 studio-contract fee. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with several handwritten editorial notations. The photo (8x10") displays moderate creasing and a small tear in the upper right corner. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
