Mario Lemieux was known as "Le Magnifique" (The Magnificent One), and his nickname was no exaggeration. The Hall of Fame center played in parts of 17 NHL seasons, all with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was a key member of two Stanley Cup winning teams as a player. In his career, he scored 690 goals and added 1,033 assists. After his first retirement as a player, he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997.He became an owner of the Penguins in 1999 and won three more Stanley Cups as an owner. He remains the only person to have his name on the Stanley Cup as both a player and an owner. The jersey has "Set #1 2005-2006" tag in tail. The Reebok jersey also has a size "56" tag in the neck, with Lemieux's number "66" written by hand in black marker along with a handwritten "+" sign and a handwritten "C." The jersey has the Pittsburgh Penguin logo on the chest and the captain's "C" on the top left chest. The back of the jersey has the Reebok logo at the top. Under the logo is "LEMIEUX" in white block letters trimmed in gold coloring. Under the name is "66" in white numerals trimmed in gold coloring. Both sleeves show the Penguin logo and Lemieux's number "66." The jersey has a fight strap. There is light pilling inside. Lemieux did not play that much during his final season. The jersey shows light but definite use
