Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following twelve members of the 1934 American League All-Star Team: Babe Ruth (4/10), Lou Gehrig (5/10), Walter Johnson (coach, sweet spot, partially enhanced), Jimmie Foxx, Charlie Gehringer, Earl Averill, Mickey Cochrane, Bill Dickey, Joe Cronin, Lefty Gomez, Mel Harder (enhanced), Tommy Bridges. Also appearing on the ball are the signatures of Monte Pearson, Hal Trosky, Bob Johnson, Wes Ferrell, and one other (faded beyond legibility). The signatures range from 1/10 to 6/10, averaging 4/10. The 1934 mid summer classic will always be remembered for Carl Hubbell's feat of striking out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin in succession over the first two innings. Despite that performance, the American League overcame a 4-0 deficit to prevail by a score of 9-7 in the second All-Star Game ever played. This is an early All-Star Game ball and the fact that it features four of the five stars that Hubbell struck out that day makes it especially desirable. The ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac, to which there are a few small chips and abrasions. In Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA.
