Rare vintage checklist of N173 Old Judge cabinets issued by Goodwin & Co. in 1889. This checklist was inserted into every package of Old Judge cigarettes to inform customers of the available player cabinets that could be had upon receipt of twenty redeemable certificates. As noted on the sheet, the checklist itself was not redeemable and is "simply a printed list from which to select the name of the Base Ball Player whose Cabinet Photograph you wish sent to you." Cabinet photos of select players from teams in the National League, American Association, and Western Association, are listed on the two-sided sheet, including King Kelly, Cap Anson, John Clarkson, Buck Ewing, Jame O'Rourke, Tim Keefe, and Bid McPhee. The extensive list features a total of 366 player cabinets available, meaning a customer would have to buy 7,320 packs of cigarettes to redeem a complete set. The paper checklist (3x5.5") displays a vertical and horizontal fold (as issued), so that it could be inserted into a pack of cigarettes. VG, with a small crease in the upper left corner and a few tiny tears along the fold lines and borders.
