Offered is a "Bad Boys" salesman's ring commemorating the two consecutive NBA Championships that the Detroit Pistons won in 1988-89 and 1989-90. The team earned the "Bad Boys" nickname for their aggressive, rough play, and were led by flashy point guard Isiah Thomas and muscular center Bill Laimbeer The team played as a unit and Dennis Rodman, Joe Dumars, Vinnie Johnson, James Edwards, Rick Mahorn, and John Salley formed the core of coach Chuck Daly's squad. The 10 Karat ring is size 10.25" and has simulated stones. The red center stone is encircled by lettering that reads, "Detroit Pistons World Champions". On the left shank is written "McCants" (possibly referring to Brian McCants, who had been injured during a tryout camp with the pistons), and the Championship's Game's result: "Det, 4 Port. [standing for Portland Trail Blazers] 1". The right shank reads, "Back-to-Back" and lists the Pistons' regular season record "59-23". As George Blaha, the Detroit Pistons' play-by-play TV announcer from 1976 to the present, says, "Never does a day go by when somebody I talked to doesn't bring up the "Bad Boys". They loved 'em."
