1934 Goudey #61 Lou Gehrig, beautifully signed by Gehrig in black fountain pen across his image. Dual graded by PSA/DNA, with the signature receiving a designation of NM 7 and the card GOOD 2. This is one of only two signed examples of this card listed in the PSA Population Report. It is the only one graded at this level, with NONE graded higher. The placement of Gehrig's signature on the card is ideal in terms of presentation, as it contrasts beautifully against the white background of his uniform. While all Gehrig signed Goudey cards are scarce, according to the PSA Population Report, his 1934 Goudey #61 appears to be the rarest of the trio (Gehrig appears once in the 1933 Goudey set and twice in the 1934 Goudey set). This is the first signed example of this card we have offered and few others have appeared recently at auction. The card displays moderate corner and edge wear, as well as a small stain located in the lower right corner on the reverse, but it remains an overall attractive example of this iconic card.
