Original Type I photo of pitcher Walter Johnson as a member of the Washington Senators, and was used as the image for his 1914 B18 Blanket. Johnson is pictured posing for the camera on the sideline prior to a game. Johnson’s name was etched along the top border of the negative, which displays here as white lettering. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Johnson’s name written in pencil. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the Senators only during the four-year span 1912-1915. The photo (3.25x5.5”) displays a wavy left border and a diagonal crease in the upper left corner that has been reinforced on the reverse with brown tape. In Good to Very Good condition. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
