Original Type I photograph of Lyn Patrick. This is an extremely early rookie-era photo of Patrick picturing him on the ice prior to joining the New York Rangers in 1934. A typed caption on the reverse makes note that he is the son of current Rangers coach Lester Patrick and that has just joined the Rangers team. A member of the Rangers 1940 Stanley Cup Championship club, Lyn Patrick also coached the Rangers following his playing career. He later served as coach of the Boston Bruins, and was the first head coach of the St. Louis Blues. Following his coaching career he enjoyed a long career as the Blues' general manager. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame posthumously in 1980. Two handwritten editorial marks appear on the reverse in addition to the aforementioned typed caption.
