Original Type I photo picturing workers preparing beds for survivors of the Titanic in Plymouth, England. On April 28th, 1912, the first group of Titanic survivors to arrive back in England docked in Plymouth, England, and stayed the night before embarking on to Southampton. This photo pictures the beds being made for their arrival, which were placed in the passenger waiting rooms at the port. Most of the surviving crew were men, who stayed in the beds shown. The women survivors were hosted at the local hotel. An "Illustration Bureau" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption. The photo (5.75x7.25") displays a small edge tear along the right border and a few light creases. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
