Pittsburgh Pirates home "throwback" jersey worn by star center fielder Andrew McCutchen during his 2013 MVP season. The jersey, which mimics the style of the club's 1971 home jersey, is accompanied by an MLB hologram label (EK703185) affixed to the reverse. According to the MLB database, this jersey was worn by McCutchen in a game against the Colorado Rockies at PNC Park on Sunday, August 4, 2013. McCutchen singled twice and walked once, while driving in one run, in the Pirates 5-1 victory that day. The white polyester jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "22" on the left breast and reverse. "McCutchen" is lettered on the reverse above the number. All letters and numerals are applied in black on gold tackle twill. A "Majestic size 42" label is located on the left front tail. A wash tag is placed on the interior left front tail. The jersey is all original and displays ample evidence of use, including moderate soil stains on the front. McCutchen finished the 2013 season with 21 home runs, 84 RBI, and a .317 batting average. Those numbers not only helped Pittsburgh win the Wildcard in the National League that year, but they also earned McCutchen the MVP Award at season's end. A perennial All Star during his 9-year tenure (2009-2017) with the Pirates, McCutchen is still active and currently has 270 home runs, 933 RBI, and a .280 lifetime average. This is an exceptional, fully documented, game jersey worn by one of the top players of the last decade.
