Amazing full ticket from the legendary 1927 bout between Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey at Chicago's Soldier Field on September 27. Measuring 6.75x2.75", the ticket has some toning from age but all the print remains stunningly clear. Tape residue at each end knocks this down to around a GD grade, but it's otherwise solid EX with perforation unbent, slight rounding at corners; back has photo of both fighters and is also very clean except for the slight paper loss at the edges from the tape. This was the notorious "Long Count" fight, in which Tunney suffered a 7th-round knockdown but the start of the count was delayed as the referee attempted to usher Dempsey into a neutral corner. Historians debate whether Tunney would have gotten off the canvas in time, made more controversial when Tunney proceeded to prevail in a unanimous decision.
