Original Type I photograph picturing President Herbert Hoover tossing out the ceremonial "first pitch" of the baseball season at Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C. on April 11, 1932. Both Walter Johnson, manager of the Senators and Shano Collins, manager of the Red Sox, are also pictured in the stands as they take part in the ceremony. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with an "Apr 12 1932" date stamp, editorial notations, and an affixed newspaper cut that originally captioned this photo. The photo measures 10x8" and displays moderate creasing, a small corner chip, and light editorial outlining. Good to Very Good condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
