Presented is an approximately 4.5x6" page from an autograph book that contains the 1951 signature of superstar Willie Mays and seven other players on the 1951 Minneapolis Millers minor league American Association club. Mays was only 20 years old when he was playing center field for the Giants top farm club in Minneapolis. Mays was amazing. In 35 games and 164 at bats he hit .477 with 8 home runs and 30 RBI. He had a 1.323 OPS. He was called up early in the season to the New York Giants and he helped the Giants in the Coogan's Bluff miracle season as New York overcame a 13-and-a-half game deficit to catch the Brooklyn Dodgers for a regular season tie, and then beat Brooklyn on a home run by Bobby Thomson, who had been moved from center field to third base to make room for Mays. The autographs appear to have been written with a black pen. There is some fading in the autographs because of the passage of time, but Mays' signature is neatly written and clearly legible. Mays, The Say Hey Kid, turned 90 in May of 2021. The Hall of Famer is still considered by some to be the best MLB player of all-time. The Mays signature makes a great addition to any autograph collection
