Amazing 1984-85 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Championship ring has tremendous historical significance as it belonged to Team Owner Peter Pocklington. Size 10 3/4, 14k yellow gold ring weighs 32 grams, bezel reads Stanley Cup Champions 1985 around a huge 2.13 ctw round brilliant cut diamond surrounded by smaller stones. Left shank reads Edmonton Oilers with a pair of Stanley Cup images dated '84 and '85, as this was the second straight in the Oilers' four-year championship dynasty. Opposite shank has Pocklington engraved above an Oilers logo and "Owner" below. Not only did the Alberta oilman elevate his team to iconic status, but he is perhaps best known for his 1988 trade in which Edmonton received Jimmy Carson and Martin Gelinas while sending the legendary Wayne Gretzky to the Los Angeles Kings, causing nothing short of an uproar across Canada. Comes with Pocklington LOA as well as a 2019 Gemologial Appraisal noting the central diamond alone being worth in excess of $15,000.
