Wise Dan transcended the sport, becoming the first turf specialist voted Horse-of-the-Year in back-to-back years. Not since the legendary John Henry has there been a more decorated turf horse. Wise Dan is the only horse in history to capture the Eclipse awards for Horse of the Year, Champion Older Horse and Champion Turf Horse in consecutive years (2012, 2013). Offered here is one of Wise Dan’s aluminum hind horseshoes worn during his runaway 5-length win in the 2013 Fourstardave Handicap. The shoe has been mounted onto a solid cherry plaque along with a custom designed nameplate featuring his career highlights and statistics. Wise Dan’s former veterinarian, who obtained it from the stable farrier, has provided a Letter of Provenance.
