Crisp 1988 Cincinnati Reds home jersey game worn by pitcher Jack Armstrong. Bright white pullover top has Rawlings size 44 and Set 1 1988 tagging inside front tail, Reds C logo on left breast and number 40 on right in red-on-white tackle twill, number also on back below name sewn directly to jersey in large 4" same-styled letters. Reds All-Star Game patch on the left sleeve is an original patch but it has been resewn to the jersey, evident as there are some stitch marks where it was originally placed, otherwise, all original. A first round selection by Cincinnati in the 1987 amateur draft, Armstrong was a 1990 All-Star but the right-hander's promising career was cut short by a shoulder injury after just six full seasons in the Majors.
