There are ten original full-page prints from Harper's and nine from Leslie's, both leading weekly publications at the time. The remaining two full page prints are from The Illustrated American. The majority of the pictures are hand colored (nine Harper's & two Leslie's), and matted. They are all in great NM condition and show scenes by Frederic Remington, Henry Stull and others of the leading U. S. racetracks. This is a phenomenal opportunity to obtain a fabulous collection of original newspaper prints featuring the majority of one-page full illustrations that appeared in these two major publications from 1866 through 1892.
Both prints from the Illustrated American are from 1890. Overall, three prints were front covers and eleven have at least two sketches with several five or more. An archival binder is included.
