Beautiful game-used and signed helmet from popular New York Jets receiver Wayne Chrebet that has been photo-matched to October 2nd, October 24th and his last career game on November 6th, 2005. In the fourth quarter, with two minutes left in the game, Wayne caught a pass from QB Brooks Bollinger towards the sideline and landed hard on his head. He was diagnosed with a concussion and that ended up being the final play of his career. Nice use shown on the helmet and comes fully intact with mask and chin strap, Jets decal above the mask, NFL shield, American Flag, and number 88 decals on back. Signed on left side above Jets logo in 9/10 black Sharpie and inscribed, "My Game Used Helmet." As an undrafted player out of nearby Hofstra University, Chrebet's great hands, penchant for third down catches, and fearless style made him a fan favorite at the Meadowlands over his 11 NFL seasons. Unfortunately, that style came at a cost as his career was cut short due to multiple concussions. Purchased from Wayne and comes with his signed LOA in addition to photo of him signing this very helmet. Photo-matched to October 2nd (Getty 113108873), October 24th (Getty 56059989) and November 6th.
