Nice historic artifact in this circa 1934 bat used by New York Yankees outfielder Ben Chapman, with factory side writing. Per the included PSA Letter of Authenticity, the Hillerich & Bradsby Pro Model is from the 1934-37 labeling period and shows heavy evidence of use with a slight handle crack and small chip on the knob, along with ball and cleat marks. Side writing in vintage grease pencil reads, "Ben Chapman 9-19-34," under which smaller writing indicates New York Yankees Ball Club." Measures 34.125" and weighs 32.6 ounces; it is hard to find bats with original factory writing and this is a classic all-around piece.
