Hall of Famer Harry Wright was one of the most important figures in baseball history. He organized, managed and played center field for baseball's first fully professional team, the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings. He also designed the standard baseball uniform and created the box scoring system. Here we have a wonderful example of his scorekeeping innovation in this 4"x6.5" signed box score from a July 19, 1881 game featuring Boston vs. Albany. Wright meticulously filled in this scorecard with pencil and signed his initials on the bottom as well. Comes with PSA LOA stating that entire scorecard was filled out and initialed by Wright.
