Very exciting Disneyana find, with great rarity with nostalgic value - a partial unopened box of Mickey Mouse penny packs from the mid-1930's!  PSA lists the issue as being from 1935, but there is period writing on the bottom that states "rec'd Nov 13, 1933" - either way, a great find!  Produced by Gum Inc. of Philadelphia (R89), the card fronts feature brilliantly colorful and high-quality comic depictions of Mickey Mouse and his friends, along with the card number; card backs feature Mickey jokes, trivia questions, and an advertisement for special albums to hold the cards. Collecting the set is challenging, as the cards are difficult to find in high grade - so how about an unopened pack?  Here we have no less than 10 PSA-graded packs, 5 of which carry a grade of NM 7 and 5 with an astonishing grade of NM-MT 8!  The display box itself - about 80% original and 20% beautifully restored - is very rare and the first one we have ever handled.  This amazing lot also comes with an original, vintage b/w photo showing two full boxes, quite possibly used by the producer as file copies.  This lot has it all - beauty, rarity and collectibility, all at its very best!
