ADDENDUM: All packs in this lot have come undone, as opposed to some of the packs, which was described previously online.
Fine partial box of unopened "Rails and Sails" cellos from 1955. Box is a standard Topps generic cello box that once held 36 packs but now has only 12 packs left. Box has some surface wear but is in generally nice condition, with "TRAINS-SHIPS" stamped on one end (the '10¢' price tag has been blacked-out in several spots). Packs themselves are as issued in cellophane (with 12 cards per cello) and look to be in EX to NRMT condition; note that the backs of the packs have come undone (flaps are not sealed). We believe this just happened with age, as the wrappers remain intact but brittle, and all cards are tight in the packs. All cards appear to be from the first series, and one of the packs has 'Locomotive 999' showing on top, the #1 card in the set. A fine collectible if you're into ship or train non-sport cards, or just a lover of unique unopened material.
