1859 Thomas Sayers Champion of England medal. The medal is made of copper and was produced by Joseph Merriam of Boston. This medal was made in conjunction with a John C. Heenan medal for their Championship of England match which was fought to a draw. Both the face and reverse are clear and clean with some edge wear from age and handling. Overall excellent condition.
