Terrific early photograph of Grover Cleveland Alexander, circa 1913-14, during his dominant run with the Philadelphia Phillies. The Hall of Fame right-hander is posed in the set position in this classic, which is trimmed to 2.5x4.5". One tear has been neatly repaired with transparent tape on the back, which includes stamps from Brown Brothers. Alexander won an astounding 190 games in his first seven Major League seasons in Philly, averaging just over 27 wins per year. Encapsulated PSA Type I Authentic.
