Beautiful and very early circa 1907 Type I photograph of Chicago Cubs great Johnny Evers, who is perfectly facing the camera among other players in this 3x5" classic. Photo has no evident blemishes or creases, back is also clean and has stamps indicating that this is from the Brown Brothers photo collection. Evers is perhaps best remembered not for his Hall of Fame accolades alone, but as part of Chicago's "Tinker to Evers to Chance" infield in the poem "Baseball's Sad Lexicon."
