This hammered Habs uniform was quite possibly worn by Doug Risebrough as the Canadiens faced the Russians in the 1975 New Years Eve on-ice battle at the Forum, consider by many to be the most exciting game ever played. Wilson, Size 42 with Doug’s number “8” on the back and sleeves sporting the garter-style fightstrap in the tail. Heavy game use with an even dozen typical Canadiens circular team repairs. The team added nameplates for the New Years Eve game and removed both the plates and the 1976 Olympic patches soon after. Evidence of the patch and plate removal is plain to see and a later-Seventies style “Risebrough” plate has been added. An amazing vintage dureen.
