Only a select few items reach the Valhalla stage of collectibles, but this Angels jersey from Mike Trout's one-and-only first Major League game is squarely in that category. On July 8, 2011, the 19 year old Trout was called up by the LA Angels to replace the injured Peter Bourjos and was entered as batting ninth in the lineup; since that time he has proved to be nothing short of a modern-day legend.

Not only is this the exact jersey he wore for that contest, it is also the jersey Trout is wearing on 2011 Topps Update #US175 rookie card as the photo for that card was taken on July 8th, 2011 (Getty #119286599). Rare style California Angels throwback jersey shows great use with dirt and grass stains, and has 50th Anniversary patch on left sleeve and "CA" patch on right sleeve. "Angels" nameplate is across the chest, "Trout" is sewn directly on back in individual letters with number 27 below, all in red-on-black tackle twill. Majestic Authentic size 46 tagging with MLB hologram on tail authenticated to August 19, 2011, in which Trout hit the second of his current 302 career home runs and his first in Angels Stadium. Even though the jersey is authenticated by MLB to a later date, this jersey has been definitively photo-matched the jersey to Trout's MLB Debut.

Still only 29 years of age, the Millville Meteor has already captured three MVP awards, and currently stands as a strong candidate to hit career plateaus including the 500 Home Run club, 3,000 hits, and first-ballot Hall of Fame status. He earned Rookie of the Year honors in his first full season in 2012 and has been named to the All-Star game in each of the eight years in which he has qualified. Photo-matched to: July 8th - MLB Debut (Getty 118824841) and August 19th - Second career HR (123426966). Trout's superfractor rookie with just an autograph sold for nearly $4 million and this jersey has more historical significance by far because it is THE actual uniform that Trout wore himself in his debut. If Trout keeps producing at historic levels, this jersey could one day end up being the most important baseball jerseys known to exist, a once in a lifetime opportunity and incredible investment opportunity as well, as MLB Debut jerseys of a player of this caliber are seldom offered. Impossible to overstate the value of this piece, both current and potential.

This jersey has been photo-matched to both mentioned games, July 8th and August 19th, by Sports Investors and comes with their detailed LOA.
