Issued in 1925 by Imperial Tobacco Co. of Canada, this set follows a golfer’s plight during a round of golf. Taking it shot by shot, the cards illustrate each step of a golfer’s unfortunate round. In a complete set (72), the fronts offer color cartoon illustrations with each card depicting each shot on every hole. Thus, the first several cards would show his shots for Hole 1, then the next group for Hole 2, etc., all the way through 18 holes.
Here we have a collection of 10 of those cards, one each for holes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 14, 15, and 18. The cards themselves are well-loved, with them grading at best GD overall, with a few nicer. Still, a fun grouping for the avid golfer looking for some early cards of the game.
Total of 10 cards.
