Though the 1927 New York Yankees are remembered for their "Murderers
Row" batting order, the pitching staff also played a role in their
astounding 110-44 record. This 6.75x5" posed image has eight Yanks lined
up; a total of nine pitchers saw significant time that season and some
are hard to identify in this photo, but the staff consisted of starters
Waite Hoyt, Urban Shocker, Herb Pennock, Dutch Ruether, George Pipgras,
along with Wilcy Moore, Myles Thomas, Bob Shawky, and Joe Giard. Small
cut to bottom left corner and minor creases at the others, none of which
impacts the central image. Verso is blank; vintage image from an immortal team.
