Beautiful exhibit card of Cincinnati Reds’ great Ernie Lombardi, signed boldly parallel to his image. Card has softly rounded corners and his autograph has been certified ‘authentic’ by PSA/DNA. Back is clean save for a light stamp of a previous owner. Baseball historian Bill James once called Lombardi ‘the slowest all-star ever to play major league baseball.’ The fact that he was so slow spoke to what an outstanding hitter he was; Lombardi was an All-Star for seven seasons, hit over .300 for ten seasons and finished his Major League career with a .306 batting average. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986.
A very pleasing autograph of a great baseball all-star.
