Jersey shows wear consistent with being worn in a game or two, such as players being given new shirts for the 1956 Championship Game, a 47-7 trouncing of the Chicago Bears at Yankee Stadium. MacAfee was the starting right end/tight end in the game. Originally from the MacAfee family, the jersey has two heavy tear pulls which would ultimately have been fixed, had it been returned to the team. It appears that he ran off the field with the jersey and took it home. Otherwise, it would have been repaired. The crotch piece is intact with all the original buttons, and has a “Wilson” 50 tag.
