This colorful, futuristic set, created by Bowman in 1951, explored the future of space travel to distant planets, which were (of course) populated by fantastic creatures. Playing directly into the youth of the day, the set was an instant hit, featuring incredible artwork and illustrations of future space travel. The set is a strong mid-grade offering, with 15% NM or better, 60% EX to EX-MT, 15% VG-EX and 10% slightly lesser, mostly due to centering issues. The reverse of most cards have slight gum/wax stains, but does not detract from the overall appearance. Also included is the 36-card extension set produced by WTW Productions in 1985, in NM-MT condition. It’s numbering (145-180) suggests Bowman had plans for additional series releases, but sadly that never came to be, at least from Bowman. A strong and very collectable mid-grade set!
